Each company is required to fill out the ‘Join the Club’ form.
After a thorough evaluation, the membership request will be either accepted or declined by the Club Management via email. The Management is not obligated to provide reasons for its final decision.

Jose M. Lopez started his career in the forwarding industry in 1996, at the age of 24, by joining the multinational Rohlig & Co in Spain.
From 2003 to 2009 he worked for 2 different multinationals, DB Schenker and Gefco, assuming different positions of responsibility within them.
In 2009 he joined Horizon International Cargo, an independent British multinational, where he took over the position of Overseas and Network Manager, helping to expand the company’s international relationships for 14 years.
In 2022, after the acquisition of Horizon International Cargo by a Danish multinational group, he joined CGate LogisticsGroup, a German company with own offices in Europe, to help them develop and increase their overseas relationships.
At the end of 2023, he decided to apply his knowledge and experience to create The Shipping Club, a network for freight forwarders and continue helping them to develop and improve their international relationships.
